ReadSlot support

Common answers for installing, connecting, disconnecting, and deleting data.

Getting started

Connect Google Calendar

  1. Open ReadSlot Settings.
  2. Review the Calendar permission explanation.
  3. Select Connect Google and choose your account.
  4. Review and approve the requested Calendar permissions.
  5. Select a destination calendar and the calendars used to check availability.

Why Calendar access

Why does ReadSlot request Calendar access?

ReadSlot lists your calendars, checks free/busy intervals, and manages reading events you explicitly confirm. It does not create an event merely because a time was suggested.

Controls

Disconnect or revoke access

Use Disconnect and revoke access in ReadSlot Settings. ReadSlot asks Google to revoke its authorization and removes the cached token from Chrome. If Google cannot be reached, remove ReadSlot from your Google Account connections. Existing Calendar events and local queue items remain until you delete them separately.

Data

Delete ReadSlot data

Permanently delete local data from ReadSlot Settings, or uninstall the extension and remove its site data through Chrome. Revoking Google access removes authorization but does not remove local queue data or previously created events.

Troubleshooting

Still stuck?

Use a build containing an OAuth client registered for that exact extension ID.

Still need help?

Open a report in the ReadSlot issue tracker. Include the extension version and safe reproduction steps, but never post OAuth tokens, private Calendar data, or sensitive URLs.
