Coulomb: Battery Health
No data collected. Everything stays on your device.
In short
Coulomb: Battery Health does not collect any data. Everything the app reads stays on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your information, we do not use analytics or crash reporting, and we do not share data with anyone.
Coulomb: Battery Health ("Coulomb", "the app") is an Android utility that shows you information about your device's battery — charge level, capacity, temperature, voltage, cycle count, and charging status. It is published by Archiom ("we", "us", "our").
This policy explains how the app treats your information. It applies to the version of Coulomb installed on your device and to your use of that app.
None.
The app does not transmit personal data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports, location, or any other information off your device to us or to any third party at our direction. We do not run servers that receive your data, because the app does not send any.
Coulomb requests zero runtime permissions. There is nothing to grant or deny. You can verify this yourself:
Because the app requests no permissions, it cannot access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, messages, or any other permission-gated resource.
To show you battery health, the app reads the following values from Android's public battery APIs. These values never leave your device. They are read, displayed, and — for the few values listed in section 5 — stored locally. Nothing more.
Values read:
These are the same values Android's own Settings app reads. The app does not transmit any of them.
Coulomb uses Android's local DataStore to remember a few values between app launches. This data lives only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Stored values:
None of this is transmitted off your device at our direction.
Android automatically backs up most app settings to your Google account unless an app explicitly opts out. Coulomb does not opt out. That means the values listed in section 5 are eligible for Google's standard Android Backup service, and may be restored if you set up a new device from your Google backup.
This behavior is managed by Android and Google, not by us. The data is handled according to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). To disable Android Backup, see your device's Settings > System > Backup.
Coulomb uses one optional third-party component, and only one:
Google Play In-App Review. This is Google's built-in in-app rating prompt. It may appear after you have opened the app at least three times and completed a battery calibration. If you interact with the prompt, Google handles your rating according to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We never see your rating, your Google account, or any identifier associated with the interaction. The prompt is shown at most once per install; Google's own servers may also suppress it for rate-limiting reasons.
We do NOT use any of the following:
Coulomb is a general-audience utility suitable for all ages. Because the app does not collect any data from anyone, it does not collect data from children. The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your region), and no age gate is required.
Because we do not collect or store your data on our systems, there is no "account" to access, export, or delete. The local values described in section 5 remain under your control:
If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and ship the revised text in the next app update. The policy bundled with the installed app reflects the version that applies to your use of that build. For a historical copy, see the app update release notes on the Google Play Store.
